(More customer reviews)I am one of those people who cleans the windows and feels they look worse then before I started due to streaking or missed spots. Using the backflip, this is no longer the problem. Actually, the new problem is I keep thinking the kids left the sliding glass doors open because the glass is much cleaner then ever before. So far only the dog has run into the glass (that I know of).
I really love the design. It easily pulls apart if you only want to use the wooly part or the squeegee. It's small enough that I was able to use a dish pan I happened to have around instead of buying a special bucket. The wooly part was so dirty when I was done I thought it would never come clean again, but it can go in the washer and came out looking new.
Instructions are included and you can also go to Ettoire's website to get more detailed instructions including videos. I modified them a bit just to make it more comfortable for me. I also found I can easily clean my screens by lightely rubbing the wooly part across them. Much eaiser then my old technique of pulling them out, spraying them, and then wiping them off.
My only annoyance of using this item is you need to be careful when doing inside windows. If you submerge the whole head of the wooly it will fill with water which will run out all over once you put it upright. This only happened once, I no longer fill my water bucket so full.
I have found it unneccesary to buy the expensive window cleaner recommended with the product. Instead put a couple drops of Dawn dishsoap on the wooly part and then dip it in water. It works not only on fingerprints and bugs, but I was able to easily clean up dried up BBQ sauce (courtesy of my husband)and tempera paint (courtesy of the kids) off the windows.
The added bonus- not only do my windows look better then with windex and a towel or newspaper, it's way easier.
