(More customer reviews)The repair kit only includes 3 oz of resin. I thought that it included at least 8 oz since there was 8 oz of stabilizer. The description did not include the amount of resin and now I understand the reason. It sure fooled me. Unfortunately I bought 4 of these so I will have to go to the hardware store and buy more.

(More customer reviews)This is basically (though I could be wrong) styrofoam dissolved in acetone. But it works well. The acetone kills any mold or mildew/fungus/whatever in the wood, and the styrofoam reinforces, to a limited tdegree, the remaining wood fibers. Best when sed then with a two-pat epoxy filler which recreates the original shape of the wood.
However, it might be easiest and most permanent to simply replace the affected wood. I guarantee that with proper protection, replacement will last longer.

Elmer's E761L Damaged Wood Repair System 12-Ounce Review

(More customer reviews)I have used this product for several years to repair broken and damaged wood on 100-year old windows, cabinets, and moulding, and to fill old nail and screw holes so they either disappear or hold again. It is extremely easy to work with. It can be mixed with bare fingers. Something the box does not say and others may not be aware of is that it cleans up and thins with water! I find I can increase the working time by adding a little water. I can also smooth it out nicely with a wet cloth, and then rinse it out of the cloth with no problem. When it dries, I can sand and paint it to look like nothing was ever wrong with the wood.
