CYCLES ON AND OFF EVERY FEW MINUTES TO TEST TEMPERATURE
I give this Air Conditioner a very POOR RATING! Certainly well below average.
I relied on Consumer Reports but this unit does not meet the standards I was led to believe.
Of course it cools the room, after all it's an air conditioner.
The BTU rating is professionally matched for the existing room size and conditions, so that cannot be an excuse for how poorly this unit works. I have had enough experience with window model air conditioners to know when one truly shines or is worthy a low rating
When it reaches the desired temperature, the loud fan keeps cycling on and off to test the room temperature. This is an annoying feature.
It is excessively loud on low speed with fan and condenser or fan only modes.
Forget the higher speeds as far as noise is concerned.
I'm taking this out and returning it.
Worst window air conditioner I ever had.
Ouch! it,s so loud!
Not recommended for residential use.

Haier ESA408J 8000-BTU Room Air Conditioner Energy Star with Remote Review

product when i'm looking to make a purchase.
Yesterday I purchased this product from Walmart for several reasons.
Mainly because I have two 5000 BTU Haier air conditions purchased two
years ago that run year around and don't run up my electric bill nor trip
the breaker in my 120 year old house, also the packaging was impressive the box tells you everything, so i chose the 8000 btu because
the eer rating was 10.4 it covers up to 350 sf which is great and the price was less than $200. I also like that the vents rotate.
My bedroom was 95 degrees no kidding when we installed the a/c within
an hour it was down to 84 so I felt obligated to post to let others know
this a/c is a great buy for the price and will last thru many hot summers.
