Be sure your window is clean first. Apply the liquid liberally and let it dry. I paint two coats of primer and two of the window color on top of that. I use minimal dry times on the primer and 24 hrs each on the color. The big trick is clean up. Do NOT let the paint sit for days. Twenty-four hours after the last color coat is th etime to remove the mess. Here's my number one tip: use a utility knife to cut the paint edge where the glass meets the wood. After that use the included scraper or a straight edge razor scraper to remove the excess paint. Doing it this way will keep the paint on the glass from peeling the paint off the wood during removal. A little final touch up with utility knife and scraper make it a pro job.

Shur-Line 500 Premium Paint Edger Review

When I looked at this cheap little plastic gizmo, I didn't have high hopes, but I thought it was worth the risk at such a reasonable price.
When I put it to use, all doubts faded. It made edging fast and, dare I say, Fun. This cut the time of the painting project in half. No taping required(except on our baseboards, which are too narrow for the wheels to rest on.) Ceiling edging and window edging were a snap. A quick follow-up with the roller and you're done.
Don't dip it too far in or you'll get paint on the tracking wheels. Scrape or brush off some of the excess after dipping. No instructions came with the product, nor did a paint pan. I used a small plastic dish.
Great invention.
