(More customer reviews)The other reviews are spot on for this product. It is a great performing skylight, well made for the $$$, and harder to install than suggested. Our installation was a little more difficult than average as we have a very steep roof pitch and a high cathedral ceiling requiring a ladder on top of the kitchen island. It took us about 6 hours. It was challenging to cut 2 holes that would line up, we tried projecting light through to ceiling hole with the bottom tube installed, but this didn't work any better than guessing, so give this some thought before you starting sawing. There is quite a bit of fudge-factor with the aluminum flashing, I would imagine it would be the same with the composite. One of the tubing pieces did arrive damaged in shipping, but ODL was all-over the replacement, what nice people. I don't thinking the packaging could be any better, it is already a huge box requiring oversize shipping charges. I would encourage anyone with questions to just give ODL a call, Marcia was alot of help. I ordered what I thought was the wrong one, but after speaking with Marcia decided to keep the alum style, it is designed for "heavy weather", apparently, some locales have zoning requiring the aluminum flashing not the composite (plastic) flashing. We get alot of snow, and I decided the aluminum would be the best bet and more durable over the long-run. Will be purchasing more home-improvement products from this company.
