(More customer reviews)I ordered and shipped this unit for my father. He has two air conditioners and lives in Texas (Houston Area) so it is pretty hot. While visiting him with my wife and son (we work overseas) I noticed that it was very hot inside the house. I asked if he was comfortable or just trying to save money. He said the AC just can't keep up with the heat, it will take a few days to "catch up" after we leave. I ordered this unit after I made some measurements for the one (to be replaced) that is in the kitchen and will actually cool the living area as well. The unit made it there and my father installed the unit in just under two hours. My father told me that it started cooling immediately, It cools very well and to hear him tell it he now can actually keep the house at 75 or so for him and his wife, cooler when they have company or entertain. I am very happy thus far with the unit. If you need alot of cooling in a small footprint this unit will not fail you. The remote works as well, all options are available as well. My father said he wanted this brand because the last one that he had (another house) is still working almost 25 years later!
