KCO Glove Box Tool Set - Tire Gauge, Flashlight, Multi-Tool & More Review

KCO Glove Box Tool Set - Tire Gauge, Flashlight, Multi-Tool and More
Average Reviews:

AVOID THIS PRODUCT!! A total RIP-OFF !!
This set is of lowest quality of anything I have ever ordered on Amazon. I should have suspected I was getting a "pig in a poke" by the price and items / tools to be included in set.
The flashlight is WORST one I have ever seen, it would NOT even pass Chinese quality control. Cheap thin plastic, threads of bulb housing do not hold end on, would break if dropped from 2 ft. or anything laid on top of it. Multi-Tool is cheap stamped low grade, SOFT flimsy "metal" construction, I would certainly NOT call it any sort of steel or even good quality aluminum. Pen would not write and only "clicks" to extend pen point about 1 out of 3 times and takes NO pressure before popping back. The tire gauge is of such light weight construction it is basically a "toy" one to give a 4-6 yr old to play with, I would not trust it to accurately register air pressure of a beach balloon.
The case is of fair to mediocre construction, but is best part of the set.
Shame Amazon for even offering such a piece of JUNK, I have come to expect MUCH better from you. Someone getting too BIG for their britches and forgetting about customers?

Smith & Wesson SWBG2TS Border Guard 2 Rescue Knife with 40% Serrated Tanto Blade, Glass Break, and Seatbelt Cutter, Black Review

Smith and Wesson SWBG2TS Border Guard 2 Rescue Knife with 40% Serrated Tanto Blade, Glass Break, and Seatbelt Cutter, Black
Average Reviews:

When I received this knife I was surprised by both the size and quality. Both the blade and handle are solid, providing great weight, durability, and balance. The description states the handle is aluminum, however, I would have never known judging by its strength and weight. The blade opens with ease and locks securely in place. The handle has finger grooves and gripping material providing great slip resistance, as well as a strong durable pocket clip. I own several other Smith & Wesson knives, including Rescue Knives, and have encountered issues including the pocket clip falling off and poor quality blade/handle materials. I can say from past experience, this knife is truly a "quality" tool and puts its predecessors to shame. I am very impressed with this product and would strongly recommend it to others, as it is built to last and withstand the hardships of everyday use! A definite must have for first responders!!

Columbia River Knife And Tool's Exitool 9030 Multi Tool Review

Columbia River Knife And Tool's Exitool 9030 Multi Tool
Average Reviews:

I love the idea, unfortunately it falls off the seatbelt quite often so I'm nervous it won't be there when I go to reach for it in an emergency. The clasp to open and close it seems to hit the belt buckle when it slides around after unhooking yourself, knocking it open and onto the floor or back seat. Also the light isn't very bright, less than 10 lumans, but I can't knock it as there could easily be no light included at all.

Gerber 22-41870 Hinderer Combat Life Saver Knife with Serrated Edge Review

Gerber 22-41870 Hinderer Combat Life Saver Knife with Serrated Edge
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I am an Industrial Firefighter and bought this knife thinking it was just what I needed to carry on the job. When it arrived in the mail I was excited to find that it felt as sturdy as people had boasted in reviews. I started using it my first day on shift, cutting lashing, chord, and zip ties throughout the day. It fell from my pocket, in the closed position, once from height of about four feet. Later on shift when I sat down to sharpen it, I noticed that two screws had become loose. One screw attached the thumb stud on the blade, and the other loose screw attached the seatbelt cutter. The loose seatbelt hook screw allowed the hook to deploy simply by flicking the knife. This was not what I was expecting from one day of useage in non-emergency mode. I have carried the same Benchmade brand knife for over four years, and used it for everything without it dissapointing me. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that I bought the Gerber for, but it never started falling apart on me. Undoubtedly this review is going to upset all the consumers who love this product, so dont start slamming me about how I dont know anything about knives. I'm simply giving an honest review of MY experience with the Gerber CLS.

Designed by knife maker and firefighter Rick Hinderer, the Gerber 22-41870 Hinderer Combat Life Saver Knife boasts a smart, user-friendly feature set that delivers reliable handling in the toughest situations. A true rescue tool, this knife showcases a strong, sharp blade with a serrated edge, a hook cutter, and an ergonomic grip that's easy to hold while wearing gloves.
All the Essentials You Need for Emergencies at Your FingertipsWhen you need one tool for a rescue, bank on the Gerber 22-41870 Hinderer Combat Life Saver Knife with Serrated Edge. Rick Hinderer, a firefighter and knife designer, conceived and designed this knife based on real-life experiences, giving it some of the most important features a firefighter will need while keeping the size small and convenient.
The knife has a 3.5-inch, sharp serrated blade that safely slices through seatbelts, and it will cut through just about anything you'll encounter in the field. The knife also features a window punch and an oxygen tank valve opener.
The knife is crafted with an attention to detail: it includes large features and mechanisms so that it can be used while wearing turnout gloves without problems. An oversized thumbstud makes it easy to open the blade, and the ergonomic handle keeps your hand comfortable while you work.
Gerber's History of IngenuitySavvy. Moxie. Craftsmanship. Attention to detail. These are just a few of the company traits that contributed to Gerber's emergence as a world leader in outdoor gear. Joseph Gerber started Portland, Oregon's Gerber Advertising back in 1910, and one Christmas, he hired a local knife-maker to craft 25 sets of kitchen cutlery as client gifts. The knives were so popular, Mr. Gerber ultimately left his agency to launch Gerber Legendary Blades in 1939.
For more than half a century, Gerber Legendary Blades has been helping people fend for themselves. Gerber designs popular, dependable tools and knives along with other outdoor gear that helps users accomplish whatever tasks they may be faced with, promoting the lost art of self-reliance.

Smith & Wesson SWFRS First Response Serrated Knife Review

Smith and Wesson SWFRS First Response Serrated Knife
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I started out looking for a fishing knife to put in my new kayak. I was also looking for a safety tool to help free me from my vehicle if it ever went into the drink. I frequently drive over a bridge that goes 26 miles over water and I've seen too many vehicles fished out of the lake. This knife turned out to be the perfect combo.
A small disk inserted into the top of the blade near where it meets the handle makes it very easy to open, even when your hands are wet and slippery. The combo of half serrated and half sharpened edge makes it good for cleaning fish, cutting rope or other utility uses. The windshield shattering metal nib is on the butt of the handle and the seat belt cutter is right next to it. You can use both without having to open or turn the knife, a big plus in an emergency. It also has a very strong and long clip firmly attached to the handle. This is tight enough to slip onto the waist of your jeans or into a life vest pocket if you don't wear a belt. The knife is heavy enough to add some heft to your stroke should you ever have to break a windshield underwater. The metal looks similar to what might be used on one of their pistols and it is assembled with numerous star headed screws rather than rivets. You should be able to tighten or clean it as needed. Good purchase...patting myself on the back as I write!

Window Punch Brass Review

Window Punch Brass
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The old window punches we had on our fire/rescue trucks were made of aluminum and were corroded and not working properly after being used in all weather conditions. I found these here on amazon and thought at the price they were selling at, they wouldn't be too great. Boy, was I wrong!!! These were, as advertized, brass, (won't corrode), spring loaded, and of much better quality than what we got from our normal fire/ rescue supplier. AND,the price was GREAT too!! I will be using this seller again for sure.
