(More customer reviews)I purchased a completely new, sealed in the box, unit. The sweep that attaches to the bottom of the door was missing. It's a smaller piece and easy to overlook when packaging. No big deal I thought.
Trying both Larson's Customer Services phone number and their customer support website, it took over 24 hrs to get through to someone. (Their website allows you to upload pictures which I did. Pretty cool.)
Larson denied my request to send me a replacement sweep, however, they would sell me one for $14.95. When I why they wouldn't replace the missing piece for free they said it was an older unit and I probably bought it on sale/clrarance. I told the support person I was going to return the whole door. I got the impression they could care less.
After cooling down, I admit I've got too much into this project to take the door back now. I'll deal with the retailer and see if there is anything he can do to help.
