(More customer reviews)This tool is a godsend! Essentially, it widens a stair so you can put an extension ladder or unopened stepladder on it. When you're up on the ladder, it feels like it's sitting on the ground. Even though you may only need it for one or two minutes on a job, and even then only occasionally, it's worth the investment.
I felt completely comfortable on the ladder as I reached a spot that was difficult to paint. I could certainly have reached the spot with an extension for the roller, but but for precision work I needed to be up close. I've also used it to make it easier to change hard-to-reach light bulbs over the stairs.
I've lent the Pivit out to several friends already, and they all love it.
