(More customer reviews)These metal stops were made for older homes with old-fashioned aluminum window frames that have sharp-edged tracks. My home is 10-years old and my window frames are far too wide to fit into these safety stops. If the outside edge of the track is 1/8" or more thick, this won't be your solution. It is rather small to provide good patio door security as it is only 5/8" tall, but if you have old-style windows, this would provide security at a reasonable price.
