(More customer reviews)Our windows are very old and drafty and they need to be replaced soon. This is a great temporary solution to fill in all the cracks around the window frame until next spring when we replace all of our windows. We've had near freezing temperatures in the evenings already, and it does a great job eliminating the draft.
This stuff is kind of like of "Play-Dough". The only complaint I have is the when I try to unroll one cord at a time, it breaks off. I was trying to keep the installation as "clean" looking as possible, but that's difficult to do when you are using a "band-aid" solution like this.
UPDATE 12/22/10
Even after several weeks of very dry air (20-30%), this caulking cord is still as pliable as the day I opened the package.

Typical home center foam stripping eventually loses its spring, the adhesive fails, or it just falls apart after a relatively short time, and if the perfect width foam isn't installed, it leaves gaps or makes it difficult to shut the door. The bronze springs away from the door frame, and makes a complete, tight seal with the door. And it lasts forever (well, decades...). It's difficult to find in most parts of the country, but it's well worth the search and a little time for installation. Just be sure to tack it up straight to avoid kinks/crimps in the strip.

It is mostly made of plastic, so it may not last forever, but it is fairly effective so far at keeping drafts out. It includes all the screws you need. You supply the drill or the screwdriver and elbow grease.

Easy to use, backing peels just fine, sticks to wood, melamine, plastic, and latex paint with no issues, and is as white as you can get with foam (you can see through it a little, but when put on white surfaces or near white things, it matches just fine). I would recommend this tape to anyone who needs a weather seal need fulfilled.
