It's a handy thing: LEDs let you know if the ground is working
as well as if the surge arrest is functioning.
The only thing that could be improved is that it's a Wart and
takes up about as much space as a transformer; this becomes
an issue if sharing a plug with someone else at the coffee
shop.
APC makes good stuff and the $25k warranty is nice as well.

(More customer reviews)Don't let the "220" part of the model number fool you: this is for North American 110/120 voltage only, NOT for the rest of the world's 220/240 voltage. Also, it doesn't protect both Ethernet and modem cables simultaneously, it will protect one or the other only.
Other than the aforementioned caveats, it's a handy gadget and worth carrying to protect your electronics when travelling within the US.
