(More customer reviews)I was blown away by the service I received, the device was delivered swiftly, worked well but at the time didn't ship with 64bit windows 7 drivers, and I couldn't find them when I looked on the download site, so as a shot int he dark I mentioned it to the vendor when I was requesting my two free module licenses, (which came back immediately and work great), within a few hours of me sending mail he kept me informed of his forwarding the query to the manufacturers and came back the next day with pointers to the drivers and install instructions... everything worked well and I have what I feel is a bargain of a system and confidence that I can get great support.. a great transaction.

(More customer reviews)Years ago you could buy cheap, stand-alone surge protectors for your modem. Those days are long gone and now they try to get you to buy expense equipment that *includes* the surge suppressor. I've blown out a lot of suppressors over the years and that is all I want, in the cheapest package possible.
While I don't need the AC filter features that this unit offers, this *is* the cheapest thing that fulfills my needs. Buy several at one time to reduce the shipping costs per unit and these units are a steal.

(More customer reviews)While this is a good quality product that may be useful for PC, it is not a good unit for Mac. When the Mac goes into sleep mode the P7GT shuts down any peripherals plugged into the controlled outlets , this creates a small voltage surge on the USB line as the peripheral shuts down which immediately wakes the Mac back up.
In essence it creates a cycle that never lets the mac stay in sleep mode.

(More customer reviews)I bought 2 sets of Cyber Power 1090 surge protector because I had great experience with its UPS 800AVR units.
However, whenever I print anything on my Cannon MP830, my screen would wobble by very tiny amount. Its barely detectable but is definitely present. My 5-year old APC surge protector PER7 did not exhibit this problem.
This is not the same high quality build as CyberPower's UPS. If you want UPS I recommend CyberPower. If you want good surge protector with good line noise filtering then go with APC.

Tripp Lite PV-700HF Portable and Compact 12-Volt 700-Watt DC to AC Power Inverter Review

(More customer reviews)It comes without cables, luckily I had the ones from my old inverter (a Vector that died), but I would have been annoyed otherwise. They ask you to put a fuse in the line which is a good idea, but it's hard to find fuse holders of that size easily.
The cables are attached with Allen screws rather than ring and post connectors, so that is a downside as well. You really don't want to leave them attached lest they bump into something and break the connector and you have to have a wrench to attach them which is a bit of a bother if you lose the it.
And as others pointed out, it is noisy, but that's kind of the nature of these things. My Vectors were quieter, but both of them died after almost no use, so there you have that.

Last year I had a major power surge at home that literally fried every surge protector that I had plugged in around the place (including 3 Isobars & a battery back-up/surge protector) the only electronics that survived were the ones that were plugged into the Isobars. Those Isobars were burned to a crisp inside, but they did the job when everything else failed to stop the surge from getting through to blow out the electronics that were plugged into them. I only use & recommend the Isobar brand now.

(More customer reviews)I mounted this power strip on my garage workbench. Six feet long with 24 outlets and integrated surge suppressor. This power strip is built like a brick telephone booth--outstanding quality. Easily mounted to the top of my workbench with three mounting clips.
Note that if you do mount a strip 'against the wall' leave at least one inch of clearance. There are many DC power supplies (cell phone chargers, drill chargers, etc.) that have a bulky transformer at the plug and will be wider than the strip.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item to use for "soldering" electrical connections where true soldering was prohibitive due to the heat associated with it. This product is basically 100% carbon powder suspended in a glue product. It must be stirred up very well before each use. It's disappointing that the glue product is SO fluid; it flows like crazy and can make a heck of a mess if you're not careful. It takes at least 24 hours for the glue to dry completely, but by golly it's conductive!! For connections that are apt to be stressed due to movement, I advise finally sealing the connection with epoxy.
Haven't found a better product for "heatless soldering" that is so versatile.

I just ordered one of these, and I thought I would pass along that this is the best surge protector APC offers with only 40v "let through" (most "good ones" are rated at 300V), also this one will "kill itself" if necessary to protect your equipment. Other protectors will loose their protection circuitry and keep your equipment connected. I have many stories from personal experience giving kudos to this company's products, but I gotta go.

(More customer reviews)I successfully used the Targus PAPWR005U power inverter on a 400+ mile trip to power my Mac PowerBook G4 (to watch DVDs) with the kids. Unfortunately it only made the one trip. The next week, on another 400+ mi car ride, the inverter started beeping constantly and then went into shutdown mode, I'm assuming because it was drawing too much power and was overheating. At 90 Watts, the power output matched the power draw from the Mac PowerBook, but didn't have enough umph to spare. I'd caution everyone to check the power rating on their laptop power bricks first before using it with a power inverter. Get an inverter that is at least 1.5-2x the power rating of the device you want to use.

Received everything I ordered online through AMAZON.COM from the Seller 365USA in excellent condition and packed very securely and showing care for efficient delivery. Received the shipment Dec. 17, 2009 via UPS so delivery was as expected, if not sooner. UPS drivers were hurried because of Christmas rush I'm sure. Items were as advertised and were in new condition still in original packaging. I would definitely recommend this item as a good BUY (at the price I paid-- may have went UP), even though there are many more expensive similar units on the market which offer a 'greater degree' of protection by number of Joules and Maximum Spike Current Amperage blocked from reaching your delicate electronics. I think I made a little mistake buying it. I highly recommend going for the APC pro8T2 Surge arrest which is better in all ways, and has a complete value for money!
