(More customer reviews)This is a truly GREAT gadget!!! We are using 15 of these units in a vacation home in an extreme high-humidity tropical environment in the Far East. The units have been installed for over three months and is switched off and on daily, with absolutely no problems whatsoever. The on-off switch is easy to use with only one hand, with just a little practice. The magnetic contact/latch works beautifully on all of the units I installed, and the alarm volume truly SCREAMS! The unit requires four LR44-type batteries (supplied. I'd recommend this GE magnetic window alarm to anyone wanting a little extra peace of mind for a medium-use household application. Cheers!
